My name is Sophie, and I started the Zeitgeist blog in order to lend the spirit of our time a new voice. Zeitgeist is not just about the opinions of one generation, but about us as a people who make their way through the fast-paced landscape of the 2020s.
In the blog I cover the political, the interior life, the heart, the arts, and everything in between that makes us who we are.

Hi, I’m Sophie!
I’ve been dreaming of starting my own blog for the past five years and at last (!) I have finally built up the courage to do it! So here is a little about me: I am 20 years old and am studying journalism and politics in Galway, Ireland, but I am originally from Germany, which is also why I used a German word as the blog name. Moving abroad has made me feel as if I am losing touch with my heritage at times, so this is my attempt at reconnecting with my roots whilst pursuing something I love that has brought me far from home.
